TV. Reporter :  This is Steve Race in the Beatles’s recording Studio in London

 　　　where the latest Beatles’s record is at this moment being built up. 

  　　　Not just a single performance but a whole montage of performances

 　　　with some friends in to help and the atmosphere is quite an occasion.

　　　今この瞬間にビートルズの新曲が作られつつあります。

　　　　彼らだけでの演奏ではなく友達の助けを借り大掛かりな演奏となっています。

  George Martin : Ok. Richard, that’ll do.  Kill it.    Right that was very good. 

 　　　　　　それでいいよ、リチャード。　止めて。　なかなかよかったよ。　

Thank you, John.   That’s fine.　 I think that will do for the vocal backing

very nicely. 　 We’ll get the musicians in now and we’ll do the last bit.

John : Oh, great, great.

G.M : Okay.   Run back the tape, please, Richard?

  　　　That’s several day’s work on that tape, for perhaps the hundredth time

the engineer runs it back to the start for yet another stage in the making of

 an almost certain hit record.

       　　　  　数日間このテープにかかりっきりでした。　録音技師がさらに次の段階に進むためテープを巻き戻す

のもおそらく百回目くらいでしょうがこうしてヒット確実なレコードが出来上がっていくのです。　　

 　　　The supervisor is Geroge Martin, the musical brain behind all the Beatles’ records.

 　　There’s the orchestra coming into the studio now and you’ll notice that the musicians

are not rock’n roll youngsters.     The Beatles get on best with  symphony men

　　　　　　　　指揮するのはジョージマーチンです。　ビートルズのレコードすべての音楽的な陰の立役者です。

　　　　　今オーケストラの連中がスタジオに招き入れられます。　若いロックの連中じゃないのは一目瞭然ですね。

　　　　　ビートルズたちもこのクラシックの連中と仲良く競演します。

     　The boys began by making a basic instrumental track on their own. 

    Then they added on top of that a second track of vocal back grounds

And they’ve just added a third track.   Now comes the final stage.

　　　It bring in a solo vocal from John Lennon and for the first time the orchestra.

   Here then is final mixed track take one of a song which we offer to the whole

   world.    “All You Need Is Love.

　　　　まずビートルズは元になる演奏を自分たちだけですまし、その上にバックコーラスをそれにかぶせました。

 　　　　そしてたった今第３トラックをかぶせ終えたとこです。　いよいよ最終段階になりました。　

           ジョンレノンのリードボーカルの導入でいよいよオーケストラも登場です。

     　We’ll send the tape.  Are you ready?    Here it comes.  Okay. …...

Geoff: Okay, Richard?

G.M.: Right.  Here we go.   Here comes the tape.   Watch it

Somebody: Do you want it from the original backing tape?
